October – November Series
Jesus is coming soon, but who is really paying attention? This month we listen to a series of direct messages from Jesus aimed at getting our attention as he is preparing to come again. Through our series, “re: I’m coming soon” we are reminded to respond to his call, to R.S.V.P. our place at his heavenly banquet!
We are starting a new worship series that will take us to late November: “re: I’m coming soon” as Jesus shares lessons with us about his ultimate return and glory to prepare us for that day, starting with the need to repent.
How often do we stop to pause and consider all the incredible blessings we have received from God? Join us on Thanksgiving Sunday, October 11 to do just that.
September Worship Series: Living under God’s Grace
It’s in our human nature to look for a reason for everything. But what if there isn’t one? Not that we can’t find a reason, but that there is no reason why God should love us or choose us to be in his family? We explore the unexplained nature of God’s grace–his boundless love for us all because he wants to love us!
We find our kids copying us all the time–copying our mannerisms and words, copying how we pull out our phones instead of engaging, copying even our sinful patterns. God teaches us a different pattern to imitate–grace, which leads to forgiveness, peace, and ending the bitterness.
In our super-charged, social media-driven culture, it’s so easy for people to be divided over issues that ought not divide us. Today God gives us grace to confront the sin that divides and find unity and reconciliation through God’s love.
One of the easiest ways to divide people is to resort to legalistic thinking– have an attitude that judges people based on human-made rules. Grace leads us to overcome and unite even when we recognize each others’ failings.
This September we think about how God’s grace enables us to overcome differences and tensions as the wear and tear of living with COVID mounts in our society, homes, and lives.
As we continue with the stories of Moses this summer, today we consider when Moses slipped up and disobeyed God, that we might learn from him to always honour God in our lives.
Happy Father’s Day! Today we worship the God who calls us to follow him in faith.
We start a new summer sermon series following Moses in the desert. First we hear how God calls him to lead his people out of Egypt at the burning bush.
We worship one God in three persons, and three persons in one God.
On the “birthday” of the Christian Church, the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles and worked in the hearts of his believers!
