As we bring our Easter season to a close tomorrow we celebrate the day that Jesus went back to heaven, called "Ascension". On this day his disciples watched him rise up into the sky until he disappeared. But the angels promised them on that day, and they promise us now, "Why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." (Acts 1:11) We can celebrate this day because Jesus rules as our king in heaven above, and one day we will see him come back again with our own eyes. Join us to celebrate this great day for our Lord and King!
