It all started in March of 2009 with thirteen people, a cold night, and a shared vision to start a church that welcomes all cultures, nationalities, and languages.
This is why we chose the name “Saviour of the Nations.” We follow Jesus’ leading in reaching out and welcoming all people. Through Jesus, we are all united together. With his love compelling us and his Word guiding us, we dream of building cultural bridges and helping others in Vancouver find the same peace and forgiveness in Jesus that we have found.
Our goal continues to be welcoming people, showing them the love and care of Jesus, and strengthening our community through our ministries.
We are grateful for the support of St. Paul’s Lutheran in Ottawa, Ontario; St. Paul’s Lutheran in Muskego, Wisconsin; and the Antioch Foundation. Their combined support in getting us started will never be forgotten.
